Hey You Guys! The Original Screen on the Green is back.

Littlehampton Town Council’s original Screen on the Green is back for a 4th year showing 80s classic The Goonies. Sponsored by Domino’s Pizza and Littlehampton Exotics, the event is FREE and no tickets required. All you need is your blanket, picnic, family and friends. Fancy dress is encouraged, so come in your best 80s or pirate gear.

The film will be shown on East Green as the sun sets at 8.45pm and we will be playing some 80s tunes from 7.30pm to get you in the mood as you pick your perfect spot. Food will be available from local vendors Hey Amigo! Mexican Street food and silver sponsor Domino’s Pizza. The Littlehampton Lions will be serving beverages and snacks.

Collections will also be taking place before and after the film to raise money for the Mayor’s Friends of Mewsbrook Park and The Littlehampton Heritage Railway Association.

The Chair of the Community Resources Committee, Cllr Ian Buckland said: “Screen on the Green is a much anticipated event in the town calendar. Last year 4,000 people turned up and the atmosphere was fantastic. I am sure that this year will be even better!”

The Goonies is a 12a certificate film in the UK and is suitable for Children under 12 with parental guidance. Children are welcome, but the late finishing time (22.40pm) may mean that it’s more suitable for older children. This event is weather dependent.
