Littlehampton Museum is excited to announce an exhibition showcasing rarely-seen artwork from the archives. The Museum team have selected an assortment of unique in-land scenes, as an alternative to the popular maritime themed works we often exhibit.
The outstanding artwork covers a variety of styles including graphic prints, vivid watercolours, and intricate etchings. The pieces also vary in size and theme, and will create a fantastic display. The Museum hopes that visitors will enjoy the mixture of genres with familiar but little-depicted scenes from Littlehampton. There will be something for everyone here.
The Museum is delighted to be able to share these pieces with visitors, as it shows how varied their art collection is, and is a great opportunity to inspire the public to create their own artwork of Littlehampton. It may just make you see the town in a whole new way.
“It is wonderful to see artwork of Littlehampton”, said Peter Herbert, Town Clerk, “and it reminds us that the town has its own charms, not just the sea.”
